Greetings film fans;

Well, it’s been a wonderful two years of fun, films and frenzied voting. Alas as that old cliche goes, all good things etc etc.

Yes, we’ve decided to put Arty Farty Film Party on long-term hiatus. Partly because of my personal situation (I no longer live in Manchester), but mainly because An Outlet has recently closed it’s doors for good. It’s a real shame, as it was such a wonderful venue with a truly individual program of events.

Perhaps I’ll start up Arty Farty Film Party London soon, who knows. But until then, thanks everyone - it’s been a pleasure.

Farewell

Due to July’s cancellation, next week we’ll finally be screening your choice of 90s Crime / Gangster Films. It was a tough battle but in the end John Cusack and Minnie Driver emerged victorious. That’s right, we’re screening… Grosse Point Blank!

This month we’re going to be doing our film party a week later than normal, to coincide with the second installment of Tome Deaf book club (concerned with discussing books on the lives and works of renegade musicians). As we’re reading Boy George’s autobiography - Take It Like A Man - it seemed only fitting to screen your choice of gay interest film, with a 90s twist…
