January’s Party

Tuesday, January 4th, 2011

A happy new year to you all! This month we’re going with 70’s Sci-Fi films. Due to a problem with my internet access over Xmas, I’ve not been able to put up a poll for this one, so I’ve taken the liberty of choosing a film for us all to watch. And that film is…

A Clockwork Orange

A Clockwork Orange

Stanley Kubrick’s classic tale of futuristic ultra-violence, A Clockwork Orange.

Film starts at 7pm, FREE ENTRY. Invite your friends.

They don’t advertise for killers in the newspaper. That was my profession. Ex-cop. Ex-blade runner. Ex-killer.

Thanks to everyone that voted last week. We knew from the outset that there was a clear favourite for this one. After all, when it comes to visions of the future nothing quite hits the spot like… Blade Runner!

Blade Runner

Blade Runner

And what’s even more exciting is that we’re going to have both the original and the directors cut at our disposal, so we’re going to put it to the audience to decide which one we screen with a show of hands.

So come join us this Weds 16th September to have a peek into the future and figure out if you like what you see. Doors are at 7pm as per, and we’ll be starting the film at 7:30pm sharp at An Outlet on Dale Street. Remember there’s a very limited seating capacity (30) so make sure you get there on time to avoid disappointment.

There will be £6 bottles of red and white wine available to purchase, as well as a range of lovely bottled beers, popcorn, nachos and penny sweets. And as always entrance is 100% free.

We hope to see you there!
